Movement Choirs
I have been researching and looking at images of movement choirs in preparation for leading 200+ early childhood educators in a closing reflection session. Historic Movement choirs attempted to construct a dynamic image of a community that was grounded in identity and group expression.
The ideas for movement choir can be traced back to Rudolf Laban who is most famous for his system of movement analysis that evolved out of experimentation. He worked in the first half of the 20th century and became interested in how to move people in large groups together.
